FriendCon Had Giant Event Success
Players working on a 7-hour game of galactic conquest and negotiation, Twilight Imperium.
Our friends at FriendCon filled the club for their con on Friday and Saturday, April 4 and 5. The Saturday games drew over 125 people. This was FriendCon’s first time having a kids block, and first time providing accessibility options for disabled or autistic players. The group also had some play-to-win games where players won the games they played. Your editor attended Friday and had a blast.
The Club and FriendCon got some great coverage in the Press Herald in a March 31 story about how Portland newcomers meet people.
FriendCon does a major con twice each year. If you’re interested in modern board games and fantasy games, FriendCon uses the club rooms every Saturday evening starting at 6:30. They welcome new people and willingly teach games to novices. FriendCon communicates on Discord.
