Woodfords Club is a private social club that once was one of the premier places in Portland to meet friends, socialize, and network. With membership capped at 500 people, at times it had a waiting list of 5 years. It’s still a gathering place, but these days it is a place for camaraderie, not exclusivity.

Here is a place to meet friends in a face-to-face setting, connect with others, and be part of a community with a common goal. As members new and old, we seek to revitalize this club to be a thriving, well cared for place that is welcoming to all. For members, we host dinners and private events, and have access to billiards, pool, ping pong, and candlepin bowling.

How do I join?

While the club welcomes all people, membership is limited to adults over the age of 21 who are sponsored by existing members. However, don’t be daunted! We’re easygoing people and eager to embrace new members of the community.

This process allows us to advocate for your membership and functions as a way to vouch that the people coming in are kind humans, and will be interested and invested in the club community– no one will be excluded or not sponsored based on race, gender, economic privilege, ethnicity, religion, etc. It’s a historic building with many amenities, and members take care of it and one another on somewhat of an honor system.
