Caring for the Club
When members voted Bill Peterson to the board recently we knew we were getting a good guy, but no one anticipated the incredible work he has been doing on building issues. One of the biggest changes is the new accent painting in the main hall, where Bill, the Pretty Committee, and several members have added a lovely amber accent color. Bill’s recent report to the board included a partial list of items completed through three weeks ago:
Toilet reinstalled – Storage closet
Window repair - main hall
Installed bulletin board, replaced knobs - Kitchen
Organized basement storage space - Basement
Removed lock boxes from Foyer
Replace door handle between Main Hall & coat room
Replaced broken light switch in main hall
Covered gap with baseboard on main hall stage
Repaired door in kitchen cabinet
Built cabinet ordered for basement storage
Solidified window in pool hall stairway
Helped Daryl install kitchen. door insulation. Needs sweep.
Had vendor steam clean carpets and tile
Replaced broken toilet handles (1 ladies, 1 second)
Repaired pool room ceiling
Cleaned carpet in main reception area
Repainted coat room
Hallway to basement near coat room
Bill thanks members for their help, and adds, “We still have a long way to go.”
Note from the Secretary:
As always volunteers are needed! Specifically for dinners and work projects. Note that members are obligated to participate in two work parties. Please contact the Club’s secretary at secretary@woodfordsclub.com with your availability and interests.
