Plan your next event at Woodfords Club! From small, intimate gatherings to large group celebrations, historical Woodfords Club provides the perfect venue for your event. With rooms that accommodate your needs to a commercial kitchen that provides facilities for your dining pleasure, Woodfords Club is available to make your event a special one.
What types of events have been held at the Club?
Events at Woodfords Club range from celebrations to education and represent a use of our space by a diverse group of people. We’ve hosted many of the following, and are always open to new events!

Weddings, wedding receptions, wedding showers, rehearsal dinners and anniversary celebrations have all been made special at Woodfords Club.

Family reunions, graduation parties, birthdays, baby showers, quinceañeras, bar mitzvahs and bat mitzvahs can be hosted at our club.

Celebrations of Life provide a private setting for friends and families to remember those who have been lost.

A wide array of social activities take place at the club. Performances such as concerts or book signings, holiday parties, class reunions, special sales events, dance lessons, club meetings, and many other events have all graced the Woodfords Club over the years.

Public events include acting as a polling place for the City of Portland. Business meetings, seminars and dinners have also been held at the Club.

Club Rooms
at Woodfords Club
Whether your event is large or small, club rooms can accommodate your needs. The Banquet Hall provides for space for larger gatherings and the Card Room can be used for more intimate ones. Unlike some other rental venues, Woodfords Club provides plenty of free off-street parking.
The Banquet Hall
The newly restored lobby provides an elegant entry to the Banquet Hall where a wide variety of functions have been held. From sit-down dinners to meetings to dance lessons, the Hall is a perfect venue for them all. Whatever your need, the Club provides a welcoming environment for celebrations, meetings, lessons, and more.
The Banquet Hall is comprised of the main floor and a raised stage with two adjoining floor-level spaces. For sit-down functions, it will accommodate 150 guests comfortably. Concert seating or standing will accommodate up to 200 people.
For those who need to serve food, the Club has a commercial kitchen that can be used for staging food for your event or for caterers and renters to prepare meals. The kitchen fee will depend on your intended usage.
Card Room
The Card Room, so named for the major use of the room by Club members, is a smaller room off the Club’s Lobby and offers a setting for smaller groups ranging from 20-25 people. From meetings to gaming, the Card Room is a perfect venue for them all.
Other rooms may be available depending on your needs and room availability.
Added Amenities
To make your rental experience the best one possible, the Club provides you with several amenities in addition to our spacious parking lot. The Club has round or rectangular tables and chairs for your use; linens are the responsibility of the renter. To facilitate other needs, the Club can make available to you free wi-fi, Bluetooth speakers, a podium, a pull-down screen, whiteboards, and wireless and wired microphones.
Rental Fees & Club Use
Renting the Club entails executing a contract, payment of all associated fees, and adherence to Club rules. Fees include rental fees, security deposits, and, where applicable, alcohol insurance fees, and steward fees. The club also imposes certain rules on the use of its facilities including the prohibition of any activity involving fire. A complete list of rules is available upon request.
